HEAVY RESCUE NORTH OCEAN AVE. AND JAMICA AVE.

On Wednesday January 7, 2009 at approximatly 13:15 hours the Holtsville F.D was activated for a motor vehicle accident at North Ocean ave, and Jamica ave. Upon arrival they found a two car mva, with one vehicle requiring heavy rescue to free the driver. One patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. All units were back in service by 14:34 hours.

On Saturday January 17, 2009 at 0356 hours the Holtsville Fire Dept. while standing by in Medford was activated for a motor vehicle accident on the LIE. Upon arrival of the chief there was one car in the woods with one patient with minor injuries. Holtsville responded with two Chiefs 30 and 31, Ambulance 17, Engine 6, and Fire Police 9. All units were back in service at 0605 hours.

MVA WITH OVERTURN NORTH SERVICE ROAD AND MORRIS AVE

On Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 13:15 hours the Holtsville F.D was activated for a motor vehicle accident with overturn. Upon arrival they found one vehicle overturned into the woods, with the driver already out of the vehicle. The patient was treadted and released at the scene. All units were back in service at 13:47 hours.

CAR FIRE L.I.E AND EXIT 62

On Sunday February 22, 2009 at 0223 hours, HFD was activated for a car fire on the LIE at Exit 62. Upon arrival the chief relayed to Engine 6 that they had an involved vehicle fire. Engine 6 was first due and streached two 1 3/4 lines. The fire was quickly brought under control. Engine 6, Engine 5, chief 30 and 31, Fire Police 9 were on scene. All units were back in service at 0318 hours. 5-11-30 was in command.
WORKING STRUCTURE FIRE 189 14TH AVE

On Wednesday March 18, 2009 at 2224 hours the Holtsville F.D was activated for a reported structure fire. Upon the arrival of 32 there was heavy smoke showing. Upon the arrival of 30, Medford FD and Holbrook FD were both called for 1 engine. Engine 6 was the first engine on scene and streached one 1 3/4 line and made a fast knock down and performed a search. Holtsville responded with Engine 3, Engine 5, Engine 6, Truck 7, FP9, Amb 16, Amb 17, 30,31,32. 5-11-30 was in command. All units were back in service by 0047.

On Sunday April 26th, 2009 at 0700 hours, the Holtsville F.D was activated for a motor vehicle accident with heavy rescue. Upon arrival they found a one car accident in the woods with the driver trapped. The patient was quickly extricated, however he was pronounced dead at the scene. 5-11-30 was incharge. All units were back in service at 0900 hours.
